Scholarships For Kettering Students
Kettering University Merit Scholarship for the 2024-2025 Incoming Class
- Merit Scholarship amounts range from $12,500 to $24,000 and are applicable to tuition only.
- Merit Scholarships are awarded through a holistic review process that considers various factors, including academic performance (GPA).
- Transfer Merit Scholarships are based on GPA from a minimum of 12 credit hours earned at the transfer institution.
- The scholarship review committee reviews all accepted applicants.
Merit Scholarship awards are determined by the academic information on file at the time of admission and are not increased during your enrollment at Kettering University.
All Merit Scholarship awards are available for up to five years. This is equivalent to a total of 10 undergraduate academic terms. If you complete your degree in eight terms your award will have an eight-term value. The Merit Scholarship does not go beyond 10 undergraduate academic terms.
Merit Scholarships may be applied to tuition charges only. Merit Scholarships will be proportionally reduced if you drop below full-time status and receive a reduction in your tuition charges for that term. A term with a reduced scholarship amount due to less than full-time enrollment will still count as one of your 10 terms of eligibility.
You must inform the Financial Aid Office of any outside scholarships you have received. Outside scholarships will not typically reduce your Merit Scholarship. However, in certain circumstances this may happen and our office will inform you if it does.
If you receive Veteran Affairs tuition benefits, your Merit Scholarship may be adjusted based on the level of benefits that you receive.
You must maintain "Satisfactory Academic Progress" as defined in the Undergraduate Catalog.
We do not guarantee that original scholarship offers will be reinstated if you choose to withdraw from the University and then subsequently decide to return to Kettering.
